Introduction to Implementation and Scale-up Science in Public Health and Health Promotion
This 7-week course, held in an interactive online format, will establish foundational knowledge in implementation and scale-up science including theories and frameworks, implementation strategies, evaluation, adaptation, and health equity. Lectures given by leading experts in the field will cover these key topics in implementation and scale-up science and provide experiential learning using ‘real life’ case studies in health promotion research.

8:00-9:40am AEST) starting on April 8, 2025 and ending on May 20, 2025.

Who is it For?
This course is for interdisciplinary faculty and trainees (MSc, PhD, PDF in public health, health promotion, and/or health services; no undergraduate trainees) with limited knowledge of implementation and scale-up science knowledge.
Format
This course uses interactive didactic methods and small group discussions. Each module will include a lecture by a leading expert in the field, which will cover key topics considered foundational in implementation and scale-up science and a ‘real world’ case study.
Lecturers will use active learning strategies (e.g., facilitated breakout groups with guiding questions provided by the lecturer) in each module. Many modules include short ‘knowledge check’ quizzes before and after the module.
Learners will read two relevant peer-reviewed publications before each lecture.
